the government cut your porkbarrel farm subsity so go out and work for your crop instead of complaining

i honestly disagree on upping the drops for the very clear and simple reason they made a decision that this area will have this amount of loot and was intended to be handled by a party of 8 players working together and the loot from that area will be split randomly between the 8 players.

they didnt plan the game to be halloween trick or treat with

Honestly, you're just setting yourself up here: saying that you only use Fire Magic and that your character is now useless is pretty much admitting you have zero imagination or creativity. Even without getting into different elemental attributes (how much does a 20/20 focus take to obtain? 5 random collector items?) you could at least look at the Fire Magic spells. Firestorm and Meteor Shower not working? Use Meteor, Fireball, Rodgort's Invocation, Incendiary Bonds. If you can't make the monsters stay in the damage, make the damage stay with the monsters. All it takes is a working brain.

Otherwise, I'd be glad to take that "useless" Ragos Flame Staff off your hands

There's more to fire magic than Firestorm. In fact, Firestorm is damn awful unless 3 people Echo it. I myself always preferred the single-shot fire spells since they actually did something before the henchies killed my target.

Honestly that wasn't against the legitmate farmers. It was against the solo farmers. If you want to farm get some guildies together and farm. Hell i was farming for 'Encrusted Lodestones' when this patch came out. I did it with henchies but still a full party.

I would rather farm in groups, but doing that defets the point in farming.

and im not much of a farmer 400 out of 555 hours spent in teamplay.

Some people like me are getting annoyed becasue i have to adapt to STUPIDER behavior.

enemies that act like tennis balls, or just stand there doing nothing.

When farming trolls some get confused and stand INSIDE my aoe doing nowt.

you want me to adapt or leave to that, fine if that was my choice id choose leave, so saying adapt or leave isnt a very good way of defending the game.

and as to there being1000+ compliant posts, so what ill complain if i want to, thats how things get improved, people complaining.

i was never really a PVP'er so it didnt effect me, but they had a valid point.

for months unlocking skills was a grindfest, pathetic amounds of faction per win, or play PVE (EDIT PVE NOT PVP) to unlock, exactly what the box said it wasnt

skill not time played / that was a lie.(or as new labour say, giving it spin)

Its improved alot lately, but it was too slow to happen for some. (like months ffs)

So congrates on telling them to leave, you REALLY helped defend the game on that one.

There we go. I had a play with me e/me.

previous skillset:
Flare, Firestorm, Fireball, Meteor Shower, Fire Attunement and res

new skillset
Flare, Fireball, Incendiary Bonds, Fire Attunement, Conjure Phantasm and res (will eventually add Meteor)

Farming at Augury is still just as easy, if a little slower, as long as you have an invincimonk to keep them of your back.

So, if the purpose of the update was to knacker farming, it failed.

Is still an unpopular update :-)

But with enough of that whinging, i am off to see what the 1.2.01 update to x3 has in store for me. TO INFINITY AND BEYOOOOOOOOOOOND.......

The update's not a bad IDEA, but it could use a little work in execution. What they did seems to me a bit like going after a housefly with a mallet in your neighbor's house. You might get it, but some people might not like it.

Personally i like the update, i think it's good to see a few different elemenalists now as i'm sure i've barely ever seen water spells till now.

I hope they keep the changes, it's how it should have been from release IMO.

I agree with alex on this matter, i personally love the way the AI is smarter for both the mercs (Healer survives longer), and the monsters (they actually try and survive instead of being easy kills). I think that this is the whole point of streaming content in the first palce, to make the game constantly changing; i mean one week AoE is king, next week its time to try a new tactic. I LOVE IT

aye... fechtna and i were talking about and testing builds earlier... we have been duel farming together alot to save up for fissure armour .... well thats beside the point... with the odd back fire and a phantasm now and again... the old fire nuker is still in...

were adapting...... doesnt mean we want to

Why don't the AIs have different states? Aggressor & Non-Aggressor with random priority scripts. For example, the non-aggressor units could scatter while in AoE then regroup and attack the casters in the back while the aggressors keep the "tankers" occupied.

anyone with the time, willingness and ability to alter thier style to fit the game, will have no problem adapting to the changes made in this patch. it is only those who are unwilling and or unable to change that refuse to deal with it.
and tho those farmers saying "blah blah blah i cant make money anymore"
consider this; go into the trade forums, look at the high-dollar-bidders, and pm them and see how many of them made thier millions by farming. i'd hazard a guess that the answer is zero. most, if not all truly wealthy players aquired thier wealth from trading, the potential income is THOUSANDS of times higher, the downsides being;
-unlike farming, you CAN lose money when using trade is an income
-it consumes a very large amount of time (though the richer you get the less time it takes, and the higher the payoff, if you make the right moves).
-it requires an enormous amount of patience and confidence (99% of people sell the moment sh*t hits the fan, which can be a very, very bad move)
-you need to have at least some prior income/collateral to start (you cant trade with nothing), hence the phrase "it takes money to make money" when refering to trading/investing
-it takes a vast knowledge in market prices for items, knowing the "right" people, and having a good intuition for what will go up/down in price in the future.

in the begining at least trading is considerably harder than farming, but the amount of wealth you can aquire from it its virtually unparalleled.

I like the idea of the patch but the way they did it made about 60% of the characters that were out there USELESS. I also wouldnt mind the old way being brought back because 2 out of my 4 characters cannot be used to do much of anything right now...

I loved this game.

I now hate this game. I want my money back. I feel as though I bought a mercedes cool and sleek, and in the night someone swapped it for a nissan altima. Its not what i paid for.

I do not support the changes made. There are many other things that should have been "fixed" instead of angering the general population. The terrain in this game has some terrible flaws in it. A-net if you actually want us to buy your next game or expansion, you will need to lift the communist rule. I understand you want the best game possible, but we the people pay for the game. If you intend to continue your current behaviour might i suggest a warning change on the box.

" the game you buy today will change without your consent, deal with it"

Then we will see how sales go.

By soloing and stealing all the drops you hinder other people's game as well as my game. You do that at your next job. Please tell me how many minutes you last? Complain is good and brings attention to problems. Obsessive complaints is not. That is why i didn't take the UAS PvPers and now PvEers serious.

I am not defending this game. I however would tell anyone who was doing something they hate or dislike to stop doing what they are doing. Many people hate this new update and the game. So stop playing and making your life miserable. The only way i could see someone who hates doing something still do it is if they are getting payed.

Also if a person sees my post and because of it stops playing Guild Wars then this community is stupider than i once thought.

That is because about 60% of the people playing Guild Wars can't adapt their current character to the recent update. The 60% is your figure not mine. I hope and pray it is much less than that.

my god you are right it does say that content may change and come to think of it they made a big thing about their streaming content to make changes in the game.
